Sara McGrath: NTSA 2020 Elite Advisor Success Story

NTSA congratulates NTSA 2020 Elite Advisor Sara McGrath, AIF ®, CRES, for her outstanding, unique accomplishments. McGrath practices through NTSA Strategic Partner Lincoln Investment, Worchester, MA.

For 15 years, McGrath has helped create financial plans, personalized ‘roadmaps’ that solve financial problems and has worked toward achieving short and long term financial goals. She works one-on-one with clients to understand their current financial situation and goals, and designs and helps implement customized financial plans.

McGrath says that experience has taught her that effective retirement planning encompasses careful life stage planning as well. “We have learned that every decision our clients make prior to retirement directly impacts the quality of that retirement. For that reason, we believe that no decision is inconsequential, and no question should remain unanswered. I understand the important role a financial advisor plays in helping individuals and families achieve their life goals.”

Over the course of her career, McGrath has helped mentor and educate new advisors, but she also educates clients. “I have found that many of our clients just want to be educated and not just told what to do. I have built my practice on just that. My legacy in this business is education. My clients believe their futures are clear and their goals are defined because of the guidance I have provided them along the way through individual meetings, reviews and group presentations.” Over the years, she has made educational presentations and passed along the presentations to the advisors she mentors for their use, and also makes them available on a database for all of their office reps to use.

“I believe in being an Elite Advisor because I take pride in listening to my clients and helping them achieve their individual goals. I enjoy helping each client along every step of life’s journey, whether putting away their first $25 in their employer’s 403(b) or maxing out both their 403(b) and 457(b) to be able to retire at year end. I help them see the future and realize that with proper education and discipline their retirement goals and dreams can be achieved. My mission from day one has always been to deliver professional investment advice, quality investment products and unparalleled service.”
