Coffey Outlines NTSA’s 2019 Activities

Kris Coffey, who served as 2019 NTSA President, outlined NTSA activities over the last year in a Jan. 26 session of the NTSA Summit in Denver, CO.

Coffey said that in 2019, the NTSA pursued a tactical plan based on that set by Tamara Indianer during her presidency in 2018, which set as the goal to transform, educate and expand. “We’re there, but not quite,” Coffey said, adding that there is still more to accomplish.

“How do we transform, engage, educate and expand? There are many ways,” Coffey said. She said that in 2019, the NTSA was focused “very much on engagement” and outlined areas that had been a special focus of the NTSA in 2019:

  • bolstering and expanding efforts;
  • establishing the WOWcasts, webcasts in which Elite Advisors share their perspectives and expertise;
  • creating the Elite Advisor Council;
  • expanding the effort to build networking groups;
  • setting comprehensive NTSA operating policies and procedures;
  • working on providing business intelligence content;
  • updating NTSA Net; and
  • working on retirement education solutions, particularly on the CRES credential

“We advocate, we network, we grow, we make it happen,” said Coffey.
