Advisor Alley: Get Cooking With a Client Appreciation Event

Why not start the New Year off with a client appreciation event?

You have probably already guessed that this client event idea is a cooking class. With money being tight for so many people, why not help encourage your clients to do some cooking at home and save a little money. There are many places to choose from where you can have this event.

All you need to do is quickly search the internet for “group cooking classes” and a list of potential places will pop up. There are many different types of classes to choose from — Italian, Chinese, French, and American cuisine are just a few of the multitude of options.

Or if you want to do everything yourself, you can rent out a kitchen at a local hall (such as Lions Club) or church hall and bring in your own chef/teacher. Bon appetite!

Editor’s Note: This is part of the Advisor Alley series, brief, bi-weekly articles that provide a quick read about activities that other advisors, like yourself, are engaging in to serve their existing clients and prospect for new clients in this ever-changing environment in which we are all working.
