Andrew Remo is the Director of Federal & State Legislative Affairs for the American Retirement Association (ARA), an organization of more than 25,000 members nationwide who provide consulting and administrative services to millions of American workers, savers, and the sponsors of retirement plans. The ARA has two key missions: to educate and inform retirement benefits professionals and to advocate for policies that give every working American the ability to have a comfortable retirement. Before joining the ARA in September 2012, Andrew worked as a staff member for US Senator Benjamin L. Cardin (D-MD) and was responsible for various policy portfolios, including tax and retirement issues. Andrew holds a Master of Arts in Government and a Master of Business Administration from the Johns Hopkins University as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the American University.

After graduation, he began working at Reliant and quickly found the massive need for student loan planning within the districts he served. Over his four years within the industry, student loan planning became Landon’s main revenue and new asset generator. To date, student loan planning has led him to obtain new district partnerships, speaking opportunities, and a larger virtual client base nationwide. Around Kansas City, Landon serves as the Direct of NexGen for the Financial Planning Association.
