Kris Coffey Honored With 2024 Richard Ford Volunteer Service Award - NTSA Summit

At the 2024 NTSA Summit on Sunday, Kris Coffey was honored with the 2024 Richard Ford Volunteer Service Award, recognizing her unwavering dedication and substantial contributions to NTSA and community initiatives.

Nathan Glassey, NTSA's Executive Director, highlighted Coffey's instrumental role in steering the organization's strategic direction and improving its operational frameworks. "She continues to dedicate herself tirelessly to NTSA, and we are profoundly grateful for her contributions," he remarked. Coffey's hands-on involvement has been key to developing and refining many of NTSA's critical procedures and initiatives. "Kris Coffey stands as a monumental figure in the history of NTSA," Glassey added.

Coffey's impact reaches beyond NTSA, extending across the American Retirement Association (ARA), where she has held significant roles within the Council for Women, the GAC Executive Committee, and the Senatorial Board. Her tenure on the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) Leadership Council and Marketing notably includes participating in the creation of the NAPA 401(k) Summit and the DC Fly-In Forum for the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA).
While serving on the NTSA Leadership Council as President and Treasurer, Coffey's leadership led to the creation of the Elite Advisor and Ford Volunteer Service Awards. Her collaborative efforts were also crucial to the success of the NTSA Summit and other NTSA projects.

Coffey's dedication to service extends to her local communities in the Midwest and Southwest, where she actively participates with the Casa Romero Board and the Finance Council, Personnel, Liturgy, and the Peru Project in Pewaukee, WI. Her previous service on the Dominican Provincial Economic Council in Chicago, IL, underscores her commitment to community and social welfare.

Her philanthropic spirit shines through her creation and funding of the Coffey Religious Studies Scholarship for Lay Women at the Aquinas Institute in St. Louis, MO, and the Migrant Justice Fund in New Mexico. Along with her service to the University Newman Center, the Dominican Ecclesial Institute, and El Salvador ministries, these initiatives highlight her commitment to education and social justice.

The industry and beyond have recognized Coffey's extensive volunteer work and impact with the Bob D. Schiller Award in 2022 and the Securities Industry Chairman's and Excellence Awards. The Richard Ford Volunteer Service Award further celebrates her "incandescent spirit" and her role as a beacon of light and strength in every endeavor she undertakes.
