Taxes are one of the things that are said to be inevitable. And for some, that may entail the dreaded… plan audit. But the target need not be caught unawares; and not only that, for some professionals, plan audits may even spell business opportunity.
The upcoming NTSA webcast “IRS Audits: A Necessary Evil,” will discuss the most common operational errors for each type of deferred compensation plan and how to correct them, as well as best practices for preparation, corrections and mitigating audit risk. The webcast also will address how IRS audits can boost business for plan professionals, and how the changes the IRS has made to the audit process affect a professional’s clients.
