Happy 403(b) Day!

This week the Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA), sister association of NTSA, has officially launched an exciting new education campaign to help plan sponsors support and expand participation in their workplace retirement plans.

The campaign – timed to coincide with National 401(k)/403(b) Day – highlights different retirement savings concepts, including enrollment, savings rates, investments, loans and hardship withdrawals, catch-up contributions, and planning retirement income. PSCA, part of the American Retirement Association (ARA), is the leading association for sponsors of voluntary, employer-based retirement plans.

The Friday after Labor Day is known as National 401(k)/403(b) Day – a day to focus on retirement planning and preparation. The materials for this year’s Sept. 6 celebration are meant to help plan sponsors maximize their 401(k) and 403(b) plans throughout the year.

The campaign features five distinct football-themed modules that are suitable for use as part of a single event, over the course of a week, or throughout the year. They include a coach’s “playbook” to help plan sponsors customize their 401(k)/403(b) Day campaigns for their participants. Each module includes flyers and posters that can be downloaded and printed, posted to websites or used in emails, to help employees:

  • Get in the Game
  • Play Offense
  • Avoid Getting Sacked
  • Make a Comeback
  • Win

Materials include “game tips” and “penalty risks” on each topic.

All materials are now available on PSCA’s website at https://www.psca.org/401kDay and may be downloaded free of charge. The resources can be customized with a company logo, call to action, and the individual plan’s contact information.
