Q. Where should the RMD of a participant who has died be sent?
A. The RMD of a deceased participant should be sent to his or her designated beneficiary. However, if there is that participant did not designate a beneficiary, the usual order of default beneficiaries is as follows:
- spouse;
- children in equal shares;
- parents; or
- the participant’s estate.
