Most Recent Year of Service for Employees not yet Employed for one Year

Q. How does one calculate the most recent year of service for employees not yet employed for one year?

A. If, at the close of the year, an employee hasn’t yet worked for the employer for one year (including time worked for the same employer in all earlier years), the period worked for the employer should be used as the most recent year of service.
