The Tax-Exempt & Governmental Plan Administration (TGPA, also called TGPC-1) certificate program is earned by reading the required reading and passing the certificate exam. The certificate program is designed to meet the needs of pension plan professionals. The course focuses on the administration and compliance requirements of 403(b), 457(b) and other plans maintained by tax-exempt and governmental entities. These issues include but are not limited to eligibility, vesting, contributions types and limits, nondiscrimination rules, allowable investments, contract exchanges, transfers and plan documents.
